Modules and Samples Procedures

In case the material to be analyzed is sampled by the client, he is considered responsible for the proper representativeness, eligibility and preservation of the presented sample. The lab is solely responsible for the analytical results referring to the samples which have been analyzed. As to what concerns the part connected to the samples, it is necessary to make the following recommendations:

WASTE

For a complete analysis of classification and of waste disposal evalutation (transfer test) it is necessary to provide approximately 2-2,5 kg of waste.

What is used is usually plastic containers with a wide neck, with screw top and counter top.

Solid materials, without a liquid phase, can be collected with plastic bags with good strength capabilities, conveniently closed.

Liquid muds are collected with 1 liter bottles.

If parameters like volatile solvents are requested, it is recommended to operate a rapid delivery, to obtain an immediate analysis.

WATERS

For a complete analysis it is necessary to provide  approximately 2 liters of water.

Bottles or containers made of borosilicate glass and equipped with a threaded top (capacity: 500 – 1000 ml); 40 ml glass bottles, airtight and equipped with screw top with septum in PTFE/silicon (for the analysis of volatile components).

Recommendations for the preservation of water samples: cooling and when possible an immediate analysis.

EMISSIONS IN ATMOSPHERE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT AIR

It is recommended to properly preserve the supports, especially the phials for the analysis of volatile organic materials which must be moved and delivered when still cool, perfectly sealed and whole.
